Social Change is the alteration of social order with a society, and may be caused by natural, social institutions, behaviors between people and the environment and relationships. Social change is driven by many factors that include cultural, religious, economic, scientific or technology. (WIKI)

The Project

This project is intended to bring Civic Awareness and Engagement to PCC media students. The project provides the opportunity to use their newly developed design skills and talents for communicating a message that addresses an issue of public concern.

The Requirements

Students were required to choose a topic that had both currency and importance to our community. Community was defined as Pueblo Community College, the City of Pueblo, and Southern Colorado. Students were required to demonstrate their ability to complete quality research and identify statistical information to support their message. They were introduced to the process of ideation and ethnographic research. Each campaign was developed in the Adobe Creative Suite. The industry standard software learned in PCCʼs Graphic Design Program. Students practiced the methodology and processes utilized by graphic design professionals.
